Trade-In Program

Our trade-in program is currently open! This program allows you to bring in used books to receive credit that you can put towards other used books. We are accepting books of all genres at this time, with preference given to:

  • nonfiction

    • all topics, but especially science, sociology, and local nature guides

  • science fiction, fantasy, & horror

  • classics

  • romance & romantasy

    • particularly recently published novels by authors similar to Emily Henry, Ali Hazelwood, and Lucy Score

Just a reminder: we do not accept textbooks, reference books, or most mass market paperbacks, and we ask that you bring in no more than 20 books at a time.

Store discounts!

Wear one of our shirts into the store and receive 5% off your purchase every day, then watch for special 20% off sales a few times a year.

Featured Local Vendors

  • Ellen Woodall

    MANAGER

Ellen is a Blacksburg resident who has settled comfortably into the middle-age trifecta of gardening, cooking, and reading. She's happy to talk about any or all of those things with you.

  • Laurie Kelly

    OWNER

Almost as soon as she could read, Laurie would spend hours in her small town library helping to reshelve books. Years later she settled on the obvious choice of being a literature major in college and was drawn to the complex characters in both Russian literature and Flannery O’Connor. Her most favorite recent read is A Gentleman in Moscow.
