We’re starting up a second monthly book club to highlight banned books!

Our first read is 1984 by George Orwell. It was published in 1949 about an imagined future with a totalitarian regime based on the political climates of Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia. It was subsequently banned for: controversial social & political themes; being (allegedly) pro-Communism; and sexual themes.
